Founded by Editor in Chief Arthur A. Sheridan in 1965. Black Dialogue features art, poetry, writing, and cultural and political analysis from the perspective of the African-American community, often with two editorial boards, one the East Coast and another on the West Coast. The early issues were published by Ari Publications in San Francisco; this issue was published by Black Dialogue Publications, with offices in New York City.
